People interpret a dog’s emotions based on its situation and have “a big blind spot” for the actual animal, a new study found.
“When it comes to just perceiving dog emotions, we think we know what’s happening,” one of the authors said. “But we’re actually subconsciously relying on a lot of other factors.”
During an appearance in Arizona, President Biden portrayed former President Donald J. Trump as a budding autocrat with no fidelity to the tenets of American democracy.
“This MAGA threat is a threat to the brick and mortar of our democratic institutions,” President Biden said in Tempe, Ariz. “It’s also a threat to the character of our nation.”
