Chantal has already started weakening as it moves inland, but forecasters said flash floods and life-threatening rip currents were expected along the coast.

A robust winter storm will bring up to a foot of snow or more to portions of the Northeast, but the snow amounts along the coast are still questionable.

The storm is expected to bring up to two feet of snow, and possibly more in some areas.
