Democrats had control of the senate for 6 of the 8 years obama was in office. She was in poor health and refused to retire because she thought hillary clinton was going to be president right after obama and she wanted to be replaced by the first female president. (her friends and family and the clintons can verify that that is the reason she didnt stepdown) considering the stupid reason she refused to stepdown and the fallout from that.
